Where is LSE Airport located?

The La Crosse Regional Airport is located along Interstate 90 on French Island (Exit 2).  Visit Directions for a detailed map and driving directions.

What time does the airport open and close?
The terminal building opens at least two hours prior to the first scheduled morning departure and closes about an hour following the final evening arrival.

How early should I arrive at the airport for my flight?
We recommend passengers arrive at the La Crosse Regional Airport at least 60-90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time.

  • TSA opens approximately 90 minutes prior to departure time
  • Airline check-in counters close 30 minutes prior to departure time.  (Note: If you are checking luggage, it MUST be checked before the counters close.  No exceptions.)

TSA Pre-Check

Does LSE have TSA Pre-Check?
Yes! La Crosse Regional Airport participates in the TSA Pre-Check program to help you get through security faster.  Make sure to include your KTN (Known Traveler Number) on your flight reservation.  La Crosse Regional Airport is not a TSA Pre-Check Enrollment Center.  Visit TSA's website to learn more about how you can enroll.

Does La Crosse Regional Airport offer Currency Exchange?
Sorry, no.  Currency Exchange is a service that is only offered at International Airports.

Parking & Transportation

Can I park my vehicle at the airport?
Yes. The airport has both short-term and long-term parking options available.

Can I rent a car at the airport?
Yes.  Avis/Budget, Hertz, National/Alamo, and Enterprise are all conveniently located in the terminal building. Visit Rental Cars for more information.

Can I drop-off or pick-up in front of the terminal?
There are designated areas in front of the terminal for active loading and unloading of passengers.  Please do not wait in front of the terminal unless you are actively loading or unloading.  A courtesy Cell Phone Lot is available on Airport Road, or you can park in the pay lot to meet your passengers in the building.  Unattended or unauthorized vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed.  For more information, visit Pick-Up & Drop-Off.


What is the airport identifier for La Crosse Regional Airport?
Use "LSE" when booking.  Visit Book a Flight to make travel reservations.

I tried to use LAX when booking an airline ticket which was for Los Angeles, what is La Crosse's identifier?
LAX has traditionally been used by the City of La Crosse for public works signs.  LSE is the La Crosse Airport identifier to be used when booking tickets.

Does the airport offer wireless Internet (WiFi) access?
Yes!  LSE offers FREE WiFi.  To use the free Internet, connect to LSE-WiFi.

Can I charge my device(s) in the terminal?
Sure can, and LSE makes it easy to do so. Airport seating throughout the terminal has built-in electrical outlets and USB charging ports.

How many bags can I check in?
Luggage policies vary by airline.  Check American Airlines or Delta Air Lines information.

Does my child need an ID to fly?
Children under 18 years of age generally are not required to present identification; however, each airline may have their own policies and you are encouraged to check with your respective airline.

Can I bring a stroller with me? And is there charge to carry-on a double stroller?
Strollers weighing less than 25 lbs are allowed through security at La Crosse Airport for no charge.  It must be screened by X-ray and the airline will check it plane-side.  If the stroller exceeds 25 lbs, the passenger is responsible for checking the stroller as they would a checked bag and airline fees would apply.  Check with the specific airlines you are traveling with for the correct fees.  For other security questions related to traveling with children, please refer to TSA's Traveling with Children information.   

I left something at the airport, who should I contact for lost and found?
If your item was left at the airport you can contact LSE’s Airport Administration Offices by calling (608) 789-7464.  If your item was left on an aircraft you will need to contact the airline directly.

Where do I go for lost or delayed luggage?
In the event your baggage is lost, delayed or damaged during your travels, please contact your airline.

Do you have a family restroom or restrooms with changing tables?
Yes, the airport has a family restroom in the lobby area and restrooms with changing tables post-security.  Additionally, LSE offers a nursing mother’s room.

Who should I contact in an emergency or if I see suspicious activity?
Safety and security are our top priority, so if you see something unusual, please notify airport personnel.  In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.
